The Best Manual Treadmills For Sale

The Best Affordable Manual Treadmills for Sale

Manual Treadmills are a great affordable option for your home gym. They cost far less than the average electric treadmill and are much lighter and easier to move around your home. Since there is no motor to break down, they use no electricity and are far less likely to break down. They are smaller in size which is great if you have a small space and most of them fold up for easy storage. Here are some of the best Manual Treadmills that I have found and recommend, taking into account overall price, features, size, weight and durability.

Phoenix 516 Easy-Up Manual Treadmill

The Phoenix 516 Easy-Up manual treadmill is an affordable, durable treadmill that is perfect for the small home gym. It is a great alternative to walking or running outside on cold, wet or gloomy days. You can fold the treadmill up when not in use and it easily stores inside a standard size closet. The folded treadmill takes up about 22 by 22 inches of floor space and is just a little over 4 feet tall.

The Treadmill includes a convenient, easy to read digital display that runs off two AA batteries, that displays Speed, Time, Distance and Calories. There is no electrical cord, so it saves you money on your electric bill over a motorized treadmill and it can be placed anywhere in the room.

Since you power the belt with your own stride, you are able to set and control your own pace, which I have found improves your ability to pace yourself when you are out on the track or running in the park. You get a better feel for your own pace and can really push yourself to hit faster speeds. The heavy-duty weighted flywheel makes operation of this manual treadmill smooth and quiet, while ensuring a long lifespan. Also because you are powering the belt, you get a better workout, because you have resistance against you instead of a motor sliding the belt along for you.

The only improvement that could be made to this treadmill would be the width of the running belt. It measures about 13.5 inches wide, which is about standard for a manual treadmill, but when running and watching TV I have a tendency to swerve a little, so I could use a little more width. Overall it is a great treadmill and at under $200, you really can't go wrong with the Phoenix 516 Easy Up Manual Treadmill.

The Phoenix 98510 Easy-Up Manual Treadmill is an affordable folding Manual Treadmill. Although this is a cheap manual treadmill it is in no way flimsy. It is lightweight and compact but very sturdy and can easily be moved from room to room and stores folded up in a tiny space. It has some very nice features that you do not find on all manual treadmills. It comes with a battery operated digital display that tells you your speed, calories burned, distance and time. It also has a scan feature that will automatically scroll through all four display options, so you don’t have to worry about hitting the button in the middle of your workout. It also features a cup or bottle holder, and the cup on the other side can hold your mp3 player while you walk or run. It also comes with a plastic water bottle, which is a nice little bonus item. The Phoenix Manual Treadmill was very easy to assemble and can be assembled by one person in under 30 minutes. If you are looking for a serious Cardio burn from just walking, this is the treadmill for you. The incline plus the resistance of the belt puts all of your legs muscles into action. Within thirty minutes I felt like I had burned more calories than an hour outside. The incline is enough to truly build and tone your leg muscles. If you are looking for a serious workout, than this is the treadmill for you.

The Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill is an energy-efficient means of staying in shape with some really great features. It is extremely quiet, allowing you to watch TV or listen to music while running without disturbing others in your home. The Stamina InMotion Manual II Treadmill is built with dual weighted fly wheels, as opposed to the single flywheel that most manual treadmills have. This means a smoother operation and easier starting and stopping of the belt. The Stamina features adjustable incline to 8 degrees and 10 degrees and a far wider deck than most foldable manual treadmills. It has a digital display that tracks your distance, workout time, speed, and calories burned. While it is somewhat heavier than other manual treadmills, at 56 pounds it is still pretty easy to move around the house. A few other nice features that really add to the value of the Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill are its skid-resistant rubber floor protectors, which keep it stable and secure while protecting your floor surface, and the non-slip running surface and the foam padded front and side rails. The only feature that the Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill is missing is a cup holder.
